Gardenia er essensen af tendenserne som vi ser indenfor dansk design. Mødet mellem det klassiske og innovative design.

I dag består Gardenia af to linier: Gardenia og Shoe Biz. Kendetegnende for begge kollektioner er designs der følger moden, og sortimentet ændrer sig i takt med tidens strømninger.

Gardenia blev grundlagt i Danmark i 1941 i en kælder på Nørrebro. I starten bestod mærket kun af træsko, men i takt med succesen flyttede mærket ind i en fabriksbygning på Vesterbro.

I 1960erne blev Gardenia en af hovedleverandørerne af tidens beat-stil stilletter.
